Cooked Seasoned Sirloin Strips in Pizza Dough make a Panzerotti Pleasure!
- 1 1/2 lbs Steak options: sirloin, sirloin tip, blade, round, fast fry cut into strips
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 tsp fresh oregano, chopped
- 15 oz pizza sauce
- 3/4 lb mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1 red pepper, sliced
- 1 green pepper, sliced
- 1 lbs pizza dough
Season beef with salt, black pepper, chopped oregano and sauté in a small amount of hot oil until brown and cooked through. Roll pizza dough into rectangles 8 X 12 inches (20 X 30 cm). Onto the rolled pizza dough, place mozzarella cheese, red and green sliced pepper, cooked seasoned sirloin strips and pizza sauce. fold the dough over and brush the inside dough with a little cold water so the pizza dough sticks, forming a seal. Place onto bakers sheet and bake in preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes or until dough is golden brown.
