Our organic turkeys are raised on free-range organic pasture, with 100% organic feeds, and no artificial hormones or antibiotics. They’ll bring you a whole new level of flavour and tenderness for your Thanksgiving dinner.
These turkeys are a heritage breed called Orlopp Bronze. Its origins date back to the 1700s, when domestic turkeys from England were crossed with North American wild turkeys. In 1935, the Orlopp family brought eggs of these bronze turkeys to North America, and they’re responsible for preserving the breed.
Orlopp Bronze turkeys are known for having excellent meat quality due to their natural fat layering, which gives them exceptional tenderness. They are also broad-breasted, so you’ll have plenty of white meat. By raising them organically, we think you’ll find that the flavour and nutritional value of their meat is unparalleled.
We have a range of sizes for you to choose from, priced at $12.95/lb — there is a limited quantity available of each size, so order now for the best selection.
Please note: due to the heritage breed of these turkeys, our processors had a hard time removing the feathers, and you may find a few hair feathers (filoplumes) remaining. This should not affect your enjoyment.
If you’re looking for a smaller turkey option, we also offer half turkeys. They are split in half from the breastbone to the spine, so you get one wing, one drumstick, and one turkey breast. To cook them, simply place the cut side down in your roasting pan, follow a normal turkey timing chart for its weight, and roast as usual.
Delivered uncooked, frozen, and vacuum-sealed.
